Descartes Got the Formula Backwards
The cogito has one error. Fixing it dissolves the gap between knowing and being. Before the doubt, before the question, before the cogito — you were already here. Descartes never noticed. In the winter of 1641, Descartes sat by a fire and stripped every certainty he possessed. Perceptions deceive. Memory fabricates.
